Goldspun support was founded by our CEO, Danielle Thompson, originally operating as Spinning Plates Business Support. The business was based on her corporate background in business, logistics, marketing and creative. In 2024 she celebrated her tenth year running the business and the brand evolved into Goldspun Support - a full service, holistic support offering for Fractional and Independent Directors, leveraging not only her corporate learnings but also her extensive experience with small businesses, business owners and the small business landscape.
For the first 8 years, Danielle ran the business on my own, working hard on building the customer base and reputation organically, she concentrated on developing her skills and extending her training until she was confident and experienced with website builders, tech platforms, email marketing systems and social media management. However, after 8 years the business had reached capacity (and her children had reached the age where they were more independent) and she started to take on team members to support with client work… that is how the Spinning Plates Business Support Service was created.
Over the next two years, the Spinning Plates Business Services team grew to enable us to meet all of our client expectations and to continue to offer first class service to all of our clients old and new. We were able to offer a full Virtual Assistant (VA) service focussing on administration and organisation; an Online Business Manager (OBM) service that supports developing strategy and actionable plans for meeting business goals and a Social Media Management Service. In 2024 Danielle decided it was time to evolve the business, to bring everything inline with her vision and values she decided to focus the business on Fractional Dierctors offering outsourced Director-Level Support to SMEs across the world. Using her expertise and that of the wider team she was able to build Goldspun Support - a holistic service that supports Fractional and Independent Directors (CMOs, CFOs, COOs and more), helping their businesses take flight.
